whether known as a roll neck (UK), turtle neck (US) or skivvy (Australia), fashion’s latest hero piece has finally shaken off its Geography teacher connotations to become a sophisticated modern must-own. Despite going through a rough patch in recent years, men have at last learned, when worn right, the roll neck can be the perfect way to dress up denim or act as a relaxed substitute for a shirt and tie. Soft, comfortable and with a touch of the seventies about it, the roll neck is a menswear classic that almost every gent should try at least once in his life.
It allows you to do without the scarf and classic version does not have buttons or, in this and are more uncomfortable to wear over their close cousins with zip or buttons, such as the famous cardigan, which was designed by a British general in order not to muss the crown. Trichological stories aside, the turtleneck is unisex – although born in a man’s wardrobe – and it’s cross, putting agree adults, children, dogs and uncle Pino! la nuova stagione è alle porte e così si riaprono gli armadi per fare il punto della situazione. La voglia di novità è sempre alta, grazie alle sollecitazioni dei media, abili nel proporci sempre nuovi stili e look che “richiedono” di mettere mano al portafogli.
Sicuramente, uno degli indumenti che delineano e connotano l’outfit maschile è il pantalone, fondamentale trait d’union tra la testa ed i piedi, e quindi tra una bella giacca ed un bel paio di scarpe 🙂
Ma spesso accade che è proprio un pantalone “sbagliato” a rendere disarmonico tutto l’outfit, per cui è bene prestare attenzione a quelle poche regole di base in fatto di proporzioni. (more…)

also this year, Christmas is here!
L’anno che sta per chiudersi è stato speciale per molti motivi. Tra quelli che mi riguardano c’è sicuramente la nascita di questo blog, che dopo tanta attesa nel famoso cassetto dei desideri sono riuscito a concretizzare, dando spazio e “sfogo” ad anni di passione sempre relegata e condivisa con i pochi amici di sempre. Spero di poter continuare così anche il 2015, dando vita a nuove idee e progetti professionali che già ho in cantiere e mi auguro che via sia piaciuto leggere almeno un decimo di quanto a me è piaciuto scrivere… 😉 (more…)
